After two decades of designing shearling jackets and coats, I transitioned into sustainable leather designs.I had collected top grade vintage leather jackets for a while and decided to phase out the shearling into the leather. Using my own rest material of the shearling I started making hybrid jackets in a combination of the two, Usually the body is shearling with either leather details like pockets and zippers inserted and put onto the shearling.Some of them are reversible and have a great deconstructed feel to them. Some have elaborate leather patchwork on top of the shearling. There is an endless number of possibilities but the shearling rest material is coming to an end.
